San Juan de Ortega to Burgos

Today we had to come to terms with some losses.
Wig really loved his gloves, he announced his love for those gloves at least once a day. He lost them this morning, and he was in mourning, as we started our walk today.
I loved my gloves also, even though I didn't tell them so enough. It took me a couple of months searching for just the right gloves to take on this trip, and aside from being just a little too big, because they came from the sale rack at REI, they were perfect. Wig was using them this morning and I had my back up 99 cent knit gloves on. Wig lost my perfect gloves on our first break! My turn to be sad. I guess we needed some kind of lesson today! After I finish writing this, we have to go look for new gloves, as the weather has just been too cold to go without them.
The hike today was very nice until we got to the outskirts of this big city. Then it was a slog around the airport, through the industrial section of town, then past lots if high rise apartments, to finally find the old city and our hostel. But we made it, we have passed the 200k mark of our hike. We are sore, but relatively intact!
Photos are from our high point of the day.
